Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Chango Inc ("Chango", "we", "us") operates chango.support and a network of marketing properties that generate inbound telephone calls for home-service businesses. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.
1. Information we collect
From consumers who call us
- Call data — the phone number you dialed from, the number you dialed, date and time, call duration and outcome.
- Call recordings and IVR responses — where recording applies, with disclosure at the start of the call, together with the service type and location details you provide.
- Marketing attribution — which of our pages or ads you came from, referrer, approximate location derived from area code or the information you give us, and the device or browser type.
From business contacts
- Details you send us — name, company, work email, phone, vertical, service area and anything else you include when contacting us about buying calls.
Automatically, on this website
- Server and delivery logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp, generated by our hosting and CDN provider for security and reliability.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and the contact form on chango.support does not transmit your details to a server — it opens your own email client with the fields pre-filled, so your message reaches us as an ordinary email.
2. Why we use it
- To route your call to an appropriate service provider in your area.
- To verify, bill and audit calls delivered to buyers, and to resolve disputes.
- To measure and improve the performance of our marketing campaigns.
- To detect fraud, spam, robocalls and abuse of our network.
- To respond to your enquiry if you contacted us about buying calls.
- To meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.
3. Who we share it with
- The buyer who receives your call. When you call a Chango number, your call — and the phone number and service details needed to help you — is passed to the single service provider we route you to. That provider handles your information under its own privacy practices.
- Service providers. Telephony and call-tracking platforms, hosting and CDN providers, and business software we use to operate. They act on our instructions.
- Advertising platforms. Aggregate campaign performance is reported back to platforms such as Google and Microsoft. We do not upload call recordings to them.
- Legal and corporate. Where required by law, subpoena or regulator, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We do not sell caller data. We do not operate a lead marketplace, and a call is never delivered to more than one buyer.
4. Call recording
Calls in our network may be recorded and monitored for quality assurance, billing verification and compliance. Where a call is recorded, a disclosure is provided at the start. If you do not wish to be recorded, tell the person you are speaking with or end the call and contact the business directly.
5. Retention
Call detail records and attribution data are retained for as long as needed to bill, audit and defend the transaction, ordinarily up to twenty-four months. Call recordings are retained on a shorter schedule, ordinarily up to twelve months, unless a longer period is required for a dispute or a legal obligation. Business contact information is retained while we have an active or prospective relationship. After that, records are deleted or de-identified.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, a copy in a portable format, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. California residents have these rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — noting that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.
To make a request, email Hey@chango.support with enough detail for us to locate your records — typically the phone number you called from and the approximate date. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law, ordinarily within 45 days. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization.
7. Do Not Call
Chango does not place outbound telemarketing calls and does not send marketing text messages. The calls we handle are placed by consumers to us. If a business you were connected to contacts you afterwards and you don't want that, ask them directly to add you to their internal do-not-call list. You can also ask us to suppress your number from our records by emailing Hey@chango.support.
8. Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and vendor due diligence to protect the information we hold, and we limit internal access to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us.
9. Children
Our services are directed at businesses and adult homeowners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party sites
Our pages and the businesses we connect you with may link to sites we don't control. This policy does not apply to them, and we're not responsible for their practices.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version, and material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
