Compliance

Clean traffic is
the whole business.

Pay-per-call has a reputation problem, and it was earned by networks that bought calls from anyone. Chango generates its own demand, so we know where every call came from — and we can show you.

Consumer-initiated calls only

Every call we sell was dialed by a consumer who chose to visit one of our pages or click one of our ads. We do not use autodialers, prerecorded voice broadcasts or bulk SMS to manufacture calls, which is what puts networks — and their buyers — on the wrong side of the TCPA.

No purchased or resold calls

We don't source from ping trees, affiliate marketplaces or lead brokers. Owning the acquisition stack end to end is more work, and it's the only way to actually stand behind the origin of a call.

Recording with disclosure

Calls are recorded for quality and billing verification, with disclosure to the caller. We treat all-party-consent states as the standard rather than the exception, and recordings are retained on a defined schedule and then deleted.

Honest advertising

Our ads and landing pages make clear the caller is reaching an independent service provider, not a manufacturer, a warranty administrator or a government program. No fake brand affiliation, no invented countdowns, no bait pricing.

Data minimization

We collect what routing and billing require and nothing else. Caller information is shared with the single buyer who takes the call. We do not resell caller data, and we don't build marketing lists out of it.

Do-not-call handling

Because our calls are inbound and consumer-initiated, DNC status doesn't bar the call. Buyers who then want to market to that consumer afterwards are responsible for their own consent and DNC obligations — and we say so in the agreement.

Buyer obligations

What we expect from you.

A network is only as clean as the businesses on the other end of the transfer. These are conditions of buying calls from Chango, not suggestions.

  • Be licensed and insuredHold the licenses, bonds and insurance your trade and state require.
  • Quote honestly on the callNo bait-and-switch pricing, no "diagnostic fee" that turns into a mandatory charge on arrival.
  • Own your outboundAny follow-up calls, texts or emails you send after the call are yours to make compliant.
  • Handle caller data properlyUse it to service the job. Don't resell it or add it to a purchased list.
  • Tell us about complaintsIf a consumer complains about how a call was generated, we want to see it the same day.
Report a concern

Something look wrong?

If you received a call you believe was generated improperly, or you're a consumer who wants to know how we reached you, tell us and we'll investigate. Include the phone number, the approximate date and time, and the call ID if you have one.

We aim to acknowledge every compliance report within one business day. Consumers can also ask us to suppress their number from our tracking records entirely.

Notes

A word on what this page is and isn't

This page describes the operating standards Chango Inc applies to the traffic it generates and the calls it sells. It is a statement of practice, not legal advice, and it isn't a warranty that any particular call meets any particular regulatory requirement in your jurisdiction.

Telephone marketing is governed by a moving set of federal and state rules — the TCPA and FCC regulations, the Telemarketing Sales Rule, state mini-TCPA statutes such as Florida's and Oklahoma's, state call-recording consent laws, and state privacy statutes including the CCPA/CPRA. Requirements differ by state, by call type, and by what you do after the call ends.

Buyers remain responsible for their own compliance, particularly for any outbound contact they initiate with a consumer after an inbound call. If you need certainty about your own obligations, talk to counsel who practices in this area. We're happy to describe exactly how a given call was generated so your counsel has accurate facts to work with.

Consumer requests

If you are a consumer and you want to know how your number entered our records, request a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete it, email Hey@chango.support. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on what we collect and how long we keep it.

Ask us anything about our traffic.

We'd rather answer hard sourcing questions up front than lose a buyer over them later.
